Barcelona is one of the most visited cities in the world, each year and especially during summer season the city welcomes a sea of tourists on a daily basis. I am proud to call Barcelona my city, not only because it is such a coveted city, but because I am truly in love with it’s beauty. By beauty I meanall it offers, from it’s architecture, it’s story, the beautiful beaches, mountains (Tibidabo, Montjuic), the weather, it’s restaurants and food, it’s shopping, and especially it’s Hotels that come with amazing rooftops and views of the city! So as you can imagine when I got invited by El Palauet for a staycation in their exclusive hotel, I was SO excited. El Palauet is not your normal hotel that you can stroll into the lobby and have a casual coffee or lunch, it is an exclusive space where you need to be let in after ringing the doorbell, and once you walk in you understand why it is Barcelona’s most unique and beautiful hotel. The building is an art nouveau building with a rooftop spa, El Palauet (original Casa Bonaventura Ferrer) hotel is home to chic centre-city suites with high ceilings, stained glass windows, bright-white furniture, and forty-five original ceilings with ornate moulding designs are listed as historic treasures by the Town Hall of Barcelona. Superb carved-wood doors, mosaic tiles, wrought iron ornamentation, dramatic staircases and the traditional elevator have all been meticulously restored. In an art nouveau building that dates back to 1906, each artistically designed suite also comes with a personal assistant with intimate knowledge of all of Barcelona’s barrios. The experience was just amazing, I have stayed in many hotels in Barcelona and while traveling, but this suite just took my breath away, I truly felt like it wasn’t just a hotel, but I could easily live in this suite, I mean wouldn’t we all want to? If you are planning a trip to Barcelona and are looking for that special experience El Palauet is without a doubt the perfect choice, it’s location is super, as it is right on Paseo de Gracia and Diagonal, not too far from Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, and Casa Batllo! Let me know if you have any other questions regarding Barcelona, and I can help you plan your trip, until then enjoy these pictures and remember El Palauet is definitely Barcelona’s best kept secret.
It had been almost 7 years since I had visited Israel, since my engagement with Jeff which was back in 2010 I was exclusively visiting him in the US, or waiting for him to come to Barcelona, and then I moved to the US and we were traveling around there, or back to Barcelona once a year to spend time with my family. So as you can imagine this trip was extra special is so many ways, not having been for so many years, not seeing my extended family since my wedding and some of them way longer (keep in mind both my parents have no joke over 50 cousins, and they all have kids, so picture the scenario), this was also Jeff’s first time and Shirel’s too of course, we had two family weddings to attend plus all the dinner parties that come with the celebrations, we went with all the family (my parents, my brothers and their familias), three cities to see, we stayed in Tel Aviv and visited Ashdod (where I am from) and Jerusalem.
All I can say is WHAT A TRIP! There are no words to describe the amazing feeling of going back to your roots and showing your spouse where you come from, and the deeper connection that is created between the two of us cannot be described. Israel is such a vibrant country, the energy around it is so amazing, and especially in Tel Aviv there is a contagious energy, art, culture, beauty, roughness, softness, poetry in every street and every corner, here is a little bit of our trip told through my iPhone photography! I will be posting more from this trip and giving you tips on what to see and where to go. I hope you enjoy it and to those who follow me on Instagram, you probably recognize these photos and those who followed me on SNAPCHAT @GoodGoodGorgeous got to see the whole trip, so please keep following me or start following because there are more destinations coming up for now Im in Barcelona waiting for Bridal Week which starts next week!
New York Fashion week is just as you imagine it to be, fast paced, full of energy, and loads of inspiration from both catwalks and street style! It was definitely an awakening trip, as I haven’t been able to attend the past two seasons due to my pregnancy and having my babygirl in Barcelona. We came back from Barcelona last Tuesday night and took the train to New York City, and in the past two weeks I have been to Ibiza, Barcelona, DC and New York City! And arriving to NYC after all these calm cities, and just going right into Fashion Week shows, and events was amazingly refreshing. To make it even more special Jeff and Shirel came with me, so it was a fun family trip, and Shirel’s first time in the Big Apple, which made this trip extra special. At the same time I had to pack differently this time, so I packed less for myself and more for her, and the garments I picked were very basic yet chic enough for the shows and events I attended. Here is one of the looks I wore to attend the shows, and it sets a tone for the look I will be wearing most of the time this fall, basic/casual with a little chic to it.
This past week has been a little hectic for me, which didn’t leave me much time to post! I have been sick, a few snow storms got in the way, so my hubby was working from home (which gave us some quality time together), and of course Valentine’s Day (which we made a whole long weekend out of)! How did you all spend your Love day? We went out for dinner the night before, and he surprised me by taking me to a fancy and romantic dinner at The Jefferson Hotel in DC and getting me three different bouquets of tulips, a white, a violet, and a red one… He is truly my forever Valentine…
As I was mentioning, snow has been falling and gracing us with it’s presence in DC as you all may very well be aware of, and I just couldn’t take wearing layers anymore, so the day of Valentine’s I decided to wear a warm red mohair Sandro sweater, my black shorts, comfy shoes, this beautiful TOUS necklace, and tons of delicious cupcakes to accessories;) Sometimes I just am tired of layering, and need to find those warm, cozy feminine sweaters that will keep me warm without the need to layer on top of it!
Don’t you love when you find a long lost (timeless) garment hidden like a treasure in your closet? I absolute love those moments, it is so easy and simple to just go and shop for new pieces, or find new looks to shop online. But there is something that is so much more rewarding about pieces that we bought years ago, and we can proudly wear them and style them in today’s relevant style. This happened this weekend, when the weather warmed up and I needed a jacket/coat that wasn’t too warm, and I found this beautiful navy REISS London coat!
So I styled it with my new pieces;) Such as this Rag and Bone boyfriend jeans exclusively designed for Intermix (prepare to see me wearing these over and over again), my Zara suede criss cross heels, Zara white lace top, with a touch of chic jewelry by TOUS. As you all know last week I was flown to Miami to spend a fabulous day with TOUS, and they showed us their new pieces, and let me tell you their collection has romantic and timeless designs for you (and your beautiful loved ones). Stay tuned for more on TOUS this week;)! So looking like this I was ready to go to a nice dinner with my hubby and friends. What’s that timeless piece you recently (re)discovered in your closet?
