My circle of friends are all quite similar to me in the sense that they are from different backgrounds, grew up all over the world, have moved around cities and countries, and some of the attributes I love about them most is that they are adventurous, open minded, creative, and with what I consider a great eye for beauty. I think it is just natural to gravitate towards people with similar interests, and likes I guess. RYBELO is the beautiful Jewelry brand of a dear friend of mine, we met through a mutual friend when I lived in Madrid for a few months back in 2009! Milena and I instantly clicked, and we also lived shortly in Barcelona at the same time, before I got married and moved to DC. But we have always maintained our friendship, staying in touch and trying to meet whenever we can. She always had exquisite style, and a great eye for design, which is no surprise that she ended up creating her baby RYBELO, and designing beautiful pieces as the ones I am wearing in this post. Her story is truly inspiring, as she left behind a dream job in advertising to pursue a passion, and learned everything about jewelry design from the bottom to the top. I am truly picky when it comes to jewelry, just as I am I guess in everything else, but jewelry is not something I indulte myself often and when I do I like to take my time and research and find the pieces that truly speak to me so I can wear them on a day to day basis to express who I am at the moment. I also now as a mother keep in mind the fact that I will pass it on to my daughters, so I have to find the timeless pieces! With RYBELO I can truly testify that these pieces are not only timeless, but their quality and price are just what we bling addicts need:) I hope you enjoy the pieces I picked to wear and treasure, and do check out the collection it is truly beautiful. So proud of you Milena! Besos
Wearing: Zara suede effect jacket, Stella McCartney bag, Converse white leather, black trousers and black top. Similar Biker jackets, H&M , Shopbop.com, ALL SAINTS, THE KOOPLES, Topshop (black), Topshop (green), Neiman Marcus, ASOS Missguided, ASOS Noisy May, REVOLVE Ganni.
The weather in Barcelona has been amazing (when isn’t it actually?) besides the rare two or three days of cold, we always have sunny days, and a little cooler evenings/nights. Therefore a biker jacket is a must in this city, but it is also a basic we should all have in our closets! I have my all time favorite Burberry one my hubby got me last year for our anniversary, but for this season I wanted a change so (after a lot of research) I got this beautiful brown suede effect jacket from Zara! But before finding this one I went of course on my usual online never ending search trying to find the right one, so I have decided to share the ones I found with you all!
As I sit here in one of my favorite coffee shops in DC, looking out the window I see the streets covered in snow (again), and it’s March!! I don’t mean to sound annoying to many around me (especially to my hubby, lo siento), but I am so OVER this cold and snow, and am ready for Spring, anytime you want to arrive, I will be here to welcome you Spring:) But I am not always complaining, and I have realized that in order to feel less miserable I need the right garments, since I am not a fan of layering, and am not used to this cold, I was delighted to find out about this new Parisian knitwear brand Romy and Ray! Everything about Romy’s (the designer) garments subtly and beautifully say Parisian style, “élégance, simplicité, et qualité”…
I can’t even begin to tell you how long it’s been since I have been looking for that perfect cape, that won’t look beautiful, but will fit perfectly, keep me warm (without too many layers), and simply say quality. So when I received my box, I was more than surprised, I did expect to get beautiful garments (in my next posts you will see what other pieces I got from Romy & Ray), but I was blown away by the quality of the knitwear! So enough talking, here is my Sunday (comfy) look, wearing my Romy & Ray cape, while my hubby and me went for a cappucino and a quick stop to buy this beautiful tullip bouquet!
How many of you have seen pale pink coats, sweaters, and blazers all over fashion magazines, catwalks, Pinterest, etc? I know I have, plenty of times for the past few months, and though I am not the usual one to fall into whatever trend is the hottest, I do have to admit that I love the warmth this quite and romantic color ads to our Fall days:) So the other day before heading to a meeting, I dug into my closet, and found my long forgotten (new, never worn) Bimba & Lola pale pink blazer that I got last in one of my Barcelona trips! Paired it with my white chucks, Maje blue denim trousers, a striped blouse, my beloved Amazona Loewe bag, and my new Stella McCartney sunnies!
