My circle of friends are all quite similar to me in the sense that they are from different backgrounds, grew up all over the world, have moved around cities and countries,  and some of the attributes I love about them most is that they are adventurous, open minded, creative, and with what I consider a great eye for beauty. I think it is just natural to gravitate towards people with similar interests, and likes I guess. RYBELO is the beautiful Jewelry brand of a dear friend of mine, we met through a mutual friend when I lived in Madrid for a few months back in 2009! Milena and I instantly clicked, and we also lived shortly in Barcelona at the same time, before I got married and moved to DC. But we have always maintained our friendship, staying in touch and trying to meet whenever we can. She always had exquisite style, and a great eye for design, which is no surprise that she ended up creating her baby RYBELO, and designing beautiful pieces as the ones I am wearing in this post. Her story is truly inspiring, as she left behind a dream job in advertising to pursue a passion, and learned everything about jewelry design from the bottom to the top. I am truly picky when it comes to jewelry, just as I am I guess in everything else, but jewelry is not something I indulte myself often and when I do I like to take my time and research and find the pieces that truly speak to me so I can wear them on a day to day basis to express who I am at the moment. I also now as a mother keep in mind the fact that I will pass it on to my daughters, so I have to find the timeless pieces! With RYBELO I can truly testify that these pieces are not only timeless, but their quality and price are just what we bling addicts need:) I hope you enjoy the pieces I picked to wear and treasure, and do check out the collection it is truly beautiful. So proud of you Milena! BesosRYBELOMASSIMO DUTTI DRESSRYBELORYBELOMASSIMO DUTTI DRESSMASSIMO DUTTI DRESSMASIVO DUTTI DRESS

Shirel in Stella McCartney

There are many a days where I wish I could borrow some of Shirel’s clothes (Is it ok to say I’m jealous of my toddler’s wardrobe?)…and this is one of them!! I really think I need this Stella McCartney dress in an adult size 🙂 I always knew I would enjoy dressing my daughter…I guess I just didn’t realize how much fun it would be!! One of the questions I always get asked is where I shop for Shirel’s wardrobe or what my favorite brands are, and AlexandAlexa.com is my to go to online shop for Shirel. I can find my favorite brands on there, and the best selection in one place! So you can imagine how excited I was about working with them, and styling Shirel with their pieces:) This is the first look (stay tuned for many more, and follow me on Instagram to see previews of the looks & behind the scenes of the shoots Shirel is really fun:), which is this beautiful Stella McCartney  dress, style with gold converse and a cool IKKS leather jacket, you can find a similar jacket by GUESS. This dress is absolutely stunning, for a casual look like this one, or for a special occasion like a wedding, styled with pretty ballerina shoes! One thing that made me SO happy, is that when Shirel dropped her ice cream on it I wiped it right away with a wet wipe, and there isn’t a stain in sight! So you can imagine my happiness:) BTW I apologize for the photo overload, but I just couldn’t choose, I love all of them!

Amira Training Club

Amira Training ClubTaking care of my body has always been such a huge part of my daily habits, and routine. I started practicing Yoga and Pilates at the age of 23, I practiced dance and did as much cardio as I could get (most of the time spending two to three hours). I had a lot of time to take care of myself, that I now don’t have anymore, since I am a mother. I have tried getting back into the swing of things, from time to time going to Zumba classes, or some boot camp classes (where I actually hurt myself the last time I went). Which is why when I heard of Amira Training Club once I got back to Barcelona, I couldn’t resist but going. I had tried Barre a few years ago in DC, but I never really got into it. Amira has a way to inspire you in her classes, not only because of her incredible dancen’s body, and the way she lifts her legs with such grace and ease (I definitely look anything but graceful, but slowly getting there). Ever since I have started taking her classes, I feel stronger, more agile, lighter, and simply motivated to take care of my mind body and soul. It sin’t just the technique, it is everything about the space as well, big windows with natural light, greenery when you look at the beautiful courtyard, the other women who are making time to come into the classes and do something positive for themselves, the other classes such as Zumba, or Pilates, but still my favorite is Fitness Ballet with Amira. If you are in Barcelona please try out one of Amira’s classes, and tell me if you do! I will keep posting more about it! Till then I hope you enjoy these few photos… Amira Training ClubAmira Training ClubAmira Training ClubAmira Training ClubAmira Training ClubAmira Training ClubAmira Training Club

El Palauet, Barcelona’s most exclusive Hotel

El PalauetBarcelona is one of the most visited cities in the world, each year and especially during summer season the city welcomes a sea of tourists on a daily basis. I am proud to call Barcelona my city, not only because it is such a coveted city, but because I am truly in love with it’s beauty. By beauty I meanall it offers, from it’s architecture, it’s story, the beautiful beaches, mountains (Tibidabo, Montjuic), the weather, it’s restaurants and food, it’s shopping, and especially it’s Hotels that come with amazing rooftops and views of the city! So as you can imagine when I got invited by El Palauet for a staycation in their exclusive hotel, I was SO excited. El Palauet is not your normal hotel that you can stroll into the lobby and have a casual coffee or lunch, it is an exclusive space where you need to be let in after ringing the doorbell, and once you walk in you understand why it is Barcelona’s most unique and beautiful hotel. The building is an art nouveau building with a rooftop spa, El Palauet (original Casa Bonaventura Ferrer) hotel is home to chic centre-city suites with high ceilings, stained glass windows, bright-white furniture, and forty-five original ceilings with ornate moulding designs are listed as historic treasures by the Town Hall of Barcelona. Superb carved-wood doors, mosaic tiles, wrought iron ornamentation, dramatic staircases and the traditional elevator have all been meticulously restored.  In an art nouveau building that dates back to 1906, each artistically designed suite also comes with a personal assistant with intimate knowledge of all of Barcelona’s barrios. The experience was just amazing, I have stayed in many hotels in Barcelona and while traveling, but this suite just took my breath away, I truly felt like it wasn’t just a hotel, but I could easily live in this suite, I mean wouldn’t we all want to? If you are planning a trip to Barcelona and are looking for that special experience El Palauet is without a doubt the perfect choice, it’s location is super, as it is right on Paseo de Gracia and Diagonal, not too far from Sagrada Familia, La Pedrera, and Casa Batllo! Let me know if you have any other questions regarding Barcelona, and I can help you plan your trip, until then enjoy these pictures and remember El Palauet is definitely Barcelona’s best kept secret. El PalauetEl Palauet

Estación de Francia, Barcelona

Zara TopZara look

Wearing: Zara Top, Zara Jeans, Steve Madden heels, Stella McCartney bag. Photography by Charlotte Van Den Berg.

This train station holds many memories for me, specifically going back to 1993 when we moved from Barcelona to Antwerp, and we traveled with the train to Paris and from Paris to Antwerp. I will never forget my mom took me and my brothers to Zara and bought us all new outfits so we could be well dressed on the train, see my mom would always shop new outfits for us whenever we would travel anywhere, and that has stuck with me into my adulthood. And so here I am again at the same spot wearing an all Zara outfit, and yet so much has changed. I find it so amazing, and I don’t take it for granted because I am used to moving countries and cities ever since I am a little girl, some would say I am a Nomad and I would say probably so, and I love it. The thrill that comes with discovering new places, meeting new people, feeling out of place seeing things from another perspective, taking yourself out of your comfort zone, that is what life is about (to me). If you or anyone you know is planning a trip to Barcelona and would like to experience the city with my private tour, feel free to email me, haya@goodgoodgorgeous.com and I will personalize the tour with your likes and interests, so you can get the best out of this spectacular city! I will show you all the hidden gems that us locals know about, take you to try out the best tapas, cavas, get the best shopping experience and anything your heart desires! Besos and hope you enjoy this look as much as I do!
