Being a mom has taken away my time from planning my looks or digging into my closet to refreshing and surprising myself with garments I had forgotten I own. But this week as I was Pinning away I couldn’t help but be inspired by the countless “Long Coat” looks, from casual to evening, black to camel these girls were giving me long coat envy! And then I remembered that I used to rock my Zara one in my early twenties, when I studied in London. Luckily I still have an intact closet (or a few, thanks to my mom) at my parent’s home, so I took a little trip down memory lane, and as you can see I decided to share with you all my easy two steps for these timeless looks. For the occasion I also chose to photograph these in my neighboorhood and show you one of my favorite getaway parks just a few blocs from my place, and just a view away from Tibidabo. Barcelona has so much history, art and charm that it truly isn’t difficult to be inspired to create and live around beauty.Evening StyleGoing back to the looks, let’s start with the center piece a long coat, and all the other garments should be neutral colors of your choice, I went for black and decided to break the color with a little sparkle of grey with this Pinko sweater. Now the only two steps I took to change the looks was my accessories, changing from sneakers to heels, and picking the Valentino bag that transforms from long strap to shorter strap for more of an evening look. Most of us live a busy life, between work or kids, we are always running from one place to another, so even our clothes have to be picked out strategically so we can carry them in a bag or simply pick them out of our closets quick and easy. Therefore transforming our looks in two easy steps from work to evening drinks, or from mommy every day life to evening drinks with the hubby:) I carried these Louboutin’s in a tiny bag, they really are so light, and I picked this bag because I can easily change it with the strap options. I am not saying that you can create these looks only with these brands, but what I am saying is to chose your accesories strategically, whether it is in your next purchase or from within your own wardrobe, pick shoes that are light and you can carry them easily in a bag into your car or your office, pick a bag that can look great for a casual or evening look, usually I go for the small ones because of comfort.
