My circle of friends are all quite similar to me in the sense that they are from different backgrounds, grew up all over the world, have moved around cities and countries, and some of the attributes I love about them most is that they are adventurous, open minded, creative, and with what I consider a great eye for beauty. I think it is just natural to gravitate towards people with similar interests, and likes I guess. RYBELO is the beautiful Jewelry brand of a dear friend of mine, we met through a mutual friend when I lived in Madrid for a few months back in 2009! Milena and I instantly clicked, and we also lived shortly in Barcelona at the same time, before I got married and moved to DC. But we have always maintained our friendship, staying in touch and trying to meet whenever we can. She always had exquisite style, and a great eye for design, which is no surprise that she ended up creating her baby RYBELO, and designing beautiful pieces as the ones I am wearing in this post. Her story is truly inspiring, as she left behind a dream job in advertising to pursue a passion, and learned everything about jewelry design from the bottom to the top. I am truly picky when it comes to jewelry, just as I am I guess in everything else, but jewelry is not something I indulte myself often and when I do I like to take my time and research and find the pieces that truly speak to me so I can wear them on a day to day basis to express who I am at the moment. I also now as a mother keep in mind the fact that I will pass it on to my daughters, so I have to find the timeless pieces!
