Not one day goes by that I don’t miss my querida Barcelona, wishing I could walk around Paseo de Gracia, admiring the buildings that never seize to amaze me, stopping in one too many cafes for a cortado, or simply taking a walk around Ciutadella. I am sure that many of you who live far away from home can relate with that feeling, those little things that we grew so accustomed to and took for granted, are now the big things that are missing in our every day lives when living far away from our city. And it goes without saying that these feelings grow even more when the Holidays are just around the corner! This colored look was shot in one my last visit’s to Barcelona, and they fit to perfection with the city’s colors, as well as to the Holiday’s coming our way:) This year Hanukkah falls the same night as Thanksgiving, making it all even more so special, a combination of miracles and being thankful, they fit together like this perfect color combination. Hope this total Maje look, with my Joanna Maxham handbag, will inspire your Holiday look…
This look was totally and completely inspired by Parisian style, that effortless chic that makes us all be in awe of Parisian women and their style! For those of you who know me, you will know that Paris is one of my favorite cities, growing up in Antwerp spending many a summers getting on the train and traveling to Paris with my family created a special bond with the city. So when I met the designer behind Wai Ming, Emily in my visit to St.Louis and she told me she had lived in Paris and was inspired by it’s designers and Parisian style, it was (needless to say) an instant connection (amongst other similar interests:). Emily designs her Wai Ming pieces with these elements in mind Fresh, Light, and Effortlessly chic, and I say AMEN to that! Her collection absolutely wowed me and of course I had to get my hands on a few of them;) So here is my way of bringing Paris to DC:) A Sunday brunch at french bistro Le Diplomate, wearing my Wai Ming Ilana top, sipping a café au lait and reading my ” Paris Street Style” book, and of course all of this with the love of my life!
Oh and here are our favorite “snacks” at Le Diplomate… Pommes Frites and an assortment of French pastries;)!
One day you will find me in full on winter outfits, and the next you might see me wearing just this:) Because DC is just the right amount of unexpected ( and has the craziest weather), never knowing if I will wake up to a Wintery cold day or a warm Fall day… And what better garment to keep you warm yet cool than these relaxed faux leather trousers by Blank NYC! I have been looking for the perfect ones for the past year, and could not find the ones that fit me right (not easy to find the right fir when you have wide hips & a tiny waist)! I cannot wait to wear them and pair them with all my winter pieces, but for now I am wearing it with just another one of my new findings, this Erika Schrieber top, and my “oldies” (but goodies) Zara heels…

I love having choices and more choices to pick from, be it in clothes, food, drinks, evening plans, and of course in beauty;) This winter I am embracing exploring more into make up and beauty, to get the perfect NYE look! Right now everything I am trying out and working on, be it looks, make up products, my next beauty videos, everything is with my NYE look in mind (mind you I still have no plans for that night, but the options will come;). Which is why I was delighted when Refinery29 sent me these these Maybelline Color Elixir to add to my lipstick collection, Raspberry Rhapsody, Signature Scarlet, and Fuchsia Flourish. I am in Love, first of all they taste delicious, they are that perfect magic touch making my lips instantly soft, and the color just pops without having to apply too much! Which color will you pick??? On another note no one told me that taking photos of my face so up close would be such a (scary) challenge , so don’t mind if I added a little magic to my photography;) (no girl wants to show her dark eye circles up & close, just sayin’:) And of course these looks would not have been possible without my talented friend and make up genius Abigail de Casanova!

I have a weakness for sheer tops, and I love wearing them in both summer and winter! I think if you find the right one that shows some skin but yet has a touch of classy it can add a wow factor to your look. Which is why I fell head over heels with this Jennifer Chun sheer embroidered chiffon top! Jennifer Chun is another gem of a designer, I saw her collection when I was in St. Louis for fashion, and her pieces enchanted me. I love how she combines different fabrics that give her pieces a strong and edgier look, yet keeps it feminine with classic silhouettes. I hope you enjoy this look, which I created with the Holidays in mind:)! All you need is a centerpiece such as this top, and style it with black pieces from your wardrobe, and you are ready!
