If you follow me on Instagram (and if you don’t please follow me, I promise to keep it as interesting as I can), you know that I am back in DC, and have been back for almost a month now! I took a mini break from social media and everything online because I always need those breaks to just enjoy the moment without being glued to my phone, and the online world! Jeff Shirel and I have been enjoying time with friends we hadn’t seen in a while, with family and simply our very own family time back in the US. See for someone like me born in the 80’s social media hasn’t always been in my life, for us it is something we watched happen and develop into a phenomenon right in front of our eyes, from having no phone until I was 16, to suddenly being able to have my whole life on this tiny screen it is a big change. Don’t get me wrong I love social media, my iPhone, the internet and the whole package, but I do need breaks from time to time to re-energyze, connect with myself and others around me, and of course for me as a mother it is a huge factor to not let my daughter grow up seeing me giving my devoted attention to my gadgets, because it is very true that kids learn by example. I know I am just going on and on about this but I just thought I would share with you all the reason I am not as active on the blog or on social media, because as a mother I have learned to take a few steps back! Not only with social media with shopping as well, but when I do find the right pieces I LOVE sharing it with you all, like this Zara dress! I bought it before flying to Ibiza in early July (that’s another post that will be coming up soon), and honestly I am going on to the 30th day of almost exclusively wearing this dress (Yes I do wash it over and over, and it still looks brand new). It is so comfortable, and so perfect for the steamy heat of DC, and it has the off the shoulder detail which is definitely my favorite trend for this summer (and probably for the rest of my summers). So if you are looking for that chic yet casual every day dress this is the one, and if you can’t find your size at Zara here is a great similar option for you ladies on Romwe.com! Besos and feel free to leave your comments here regarding the dress, or social media, or anything that feel like saying!
This train station holds many memories for me, specifically going back to 1993 when we moved from Barcelona to Antwerp, and we traveled with the train to Paris and from Paris to Antwerp. I will never forget my mom took me and my brothers to Zara and bought us all new outfits so we could be well dressed on the train, see my mom would always shop new outfits for us whenever we would travel anywhere, and that has stuck with me into my adulthood. And so here I am again at the same spot wearing an all Zara outfit, and yet so much has changed. I find it so amazing, and I don’t take it for granted because I am used to moving countries and cities ever since I am a little girl, some would say I am a Nomad and I would say probably so, and I love it. The thrill that comes with discovering new places, meeting new people, feeling out of place seeing things from another perspective, taking yourself out of your comfort zone, that is what life is about (to me). If you or anyone you know is planning a trip to Barcelona and would like to experience the city with my private tour, feel free to email me, email@example.com and I will personalize the tour with your likes and interests, so you can get the best out of this spectacular city! I will show you all the hidden gems that us locals know about, take you to try out the best tapas, cavas, get the best shopping experience and anything your heart desires! Besos and hope you enjoy this look as much as I do!
If you are anything like me, you cannot quite find that perfect leather jacket, there is always something wrong, either it doesn’t fit how you want it to fit, the leather feels too plastic like (assuming it isn’t real leather), the pockets stick out too much, it’s too expensive for it’s quality, and the list goes on and on (now you can kind of get how picky I am). Therefore I can never find the right leather jacket (except the amazingly expensive Balenciaga ones, always so perfect), which is why I have set as one of my (many) goals for 2015 to finally find and buy “MY” perfect leather jacket, in the process of doing so I will of course share some of my findings:) So here are a few I found on Asos.com, most of them are under $100!
Winter is here with full force for those of us living in the East Coast!! And that gives ME loads of time with my baby girl at home, and browsing online (when she lets me have some free time;)! So I decided to use up my free time to check out my favourite online stores, find my favourite picks, and share them with all of you on a weekly basis! Hope you enjoy this round up of my top sweaters from ASOS, I chose a variety from sexy sweaters, to capes and fringes! Who said sweaters have to be boring???… Stay Warm!
Nothing says Girl Boss louder than a body hugging black maxi dress with a sexy leg slit😉 I am sure I have stated this before, but there is something a bit liberating that comes with this pregnancy, and I feel so much more at ease with wearing tight, curve hugging dresses that I for some reason did not feel comfortable wearing pre pregnancy! This dress works for anyone though, if you are or aren’t pregnant, you always need a black maxi dress with a little side slit;)
