I am not an avid user of different shades/foundation, I stick to what I know and where my comfort zone is, which is my Armani silk foundation. But when Almay sent me their new Smart Shade to try, I could not resist! Because who wouldn’t want to try a foundation, that adjusts to your skintone? It is not your typical foundation, it almost seems like you are applying a moisturizer that adapts to your skintone, and leaves your complexion looking flawless and natural! This foundation comes only in three shades and no more, all you need to know is where yours skin fits within those, light, light-medium (that’s my shade), medium. I love that this skintone matching makeup, leaves my skin looking natural all day, and doesn’t feel or look like I am wearing a layer of makeup. This is definitely a beauty product I would recommend all year round, which is why I have it in my bag, ready to fly to Barcelona with me;) Because that is where I am headed to today, will keep you all posted on Barcelona my travels and my baby bump;)!

I am getting ready for my Birthday/Baby Moon romantic Miami getaway with my hubby, and the first thing that comes to mind is Beauty Essentials! I love packing with a plan, it all starts in my head, I mentally prepare my looks, as well as my beauty products, and pack accordingly which always works for me. This way I rarely overpack, don’t forget anything I truly need, and can relax while enjoying the sun (though it seems it’s gonna be a stormy weekend, boohoo). Here are some of my favourite beauty essentials when I travel, what’s my criteria? Must keep my skin hydrated, don’t wanna wash my hair too often (I’m a believer of not washing your hair on a daliy basis, that will be covered on another post), rested/fresh eyes!
It’s been a while since I shared a “Hair Tutorial”, but my friend (and hair & make up artist) Abigail and I have decided to once again join forces (my hair, and her talent) and share with all of you how to get beautiful, fun, summer hair looks! Oh and we will also be sharing “Make Up tutorials” so stay tuned for those! We would like to bring you different ones on a weekly basis, so you have new ideas and ways to style your hair, and beautify yourself with make up tips! Feel free to ask for whatever tutorials you would like to see, if there is a specific hair style you’ve been dying to try but don’t know how to do it, just leave your comments, and we will try to make it happen;)! Hope you enjoy this Messy Pony Tail look, and let me know how it worked out for you…
What you need:
5 Simple Steps to the Messy Pony Tail style: My First trick & tip, is do not wash your hair beforehand, you want your hair to be not that clean, but also not super greasy, and even better if it is not brushed to get more of a messy effect!
STEP 1: Prep your hair with shine I love this new Toni & Guy Shine that we used on my hair, and spray your hair with Sebastian Shaper plus or any other working hair spray.
STEP 2: Part the hair in 5 parts. Create a rectangular part on top which will separate the front (bangs), the sides and back.
STEP 3: Grab the back part and make it into a ponytail, if you’d like you can take some of the hair on top of the back part and tease it to create extra volume.
VOILA! The key for this hairstyle is to be very free with it, and let it be messy!
Season’s change and so does our skin, alongside our mood;)! For the past few weeks my skin has been suffering from the cold dry weather therefore it was in dreadful condition, I tried every face cream I have at home, as well as drinking as much water as possible, face masks, etc… Till I got my hands on this Egyptian Magic, and I can say loud and clear this is MAGIC for my skin! All I do is wash my face and put a little magic on my face day and night, and it looks radiant! Besides this amazing find, here are the rest of my beauty obsessions for this month, Jergens BB Body Cream Light , this one is perfection for luminous skin (especially to get an even complexion all over your body)! Rituals Mei Dao Rich Nourishing Body Cream , I have been a loyal user of Rituals body creams, but only recently I started to use this scent, and it is so lovely and subtle, not at all overpowering! I like my make up products subtle as well, so here are my basics such as the ‘Luminous Silk’ Foundation by Armani, and my YSL ROUGE VOLUPTÉ – Silky Sensual Radiant Lipstick. On my last trip to New York, I decided to get these NARS beauties;) and am addicted, whenever I want to look fresh and well rested I put on the ‘Soft Touch’ Shadow Pencil, and for full looking lips this NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in mauve pink! Finally this O.P.I. nail polish in Dulce de Leche, to me it’s the perfect spring color to go with any look, and all of my rings;)
Who isn’t addicted to Beauty products? I confess GUILTY (as can be)! Which is why I love finding new products, be it skin products or make up (magical) products. Paul & Joe Beauté is one of my favorite 2014 finds, I have fallen in love with their brand, products, and their packaging is just so beautifully made with unique details. I have been using their Glossy Lip Nude color (Next To Nothing), in my everyday looks, to keep that natural yet glowy look. Or to tone down a bit some of my pink or red lip colors, and I absolutely love it!
Finding a nude color for my lips isn’t easy, as I am pale, and I always feel that nude colors make me look even more pale. For my complexion, this Powder Compact Foundation – Fresh has worked wonders, especially in this freezing cold weather, it doesn’t damage my skin, and adds a soft silky touch to my face.
