Back to my roots, Israel

By April 22, 2016No Comments

Tel AvivIt had been almost 7 years since I had visited Israel, since my engagement with Jeff which was back in 2010 I was exclusively visiting him in the US, or waiting for him to come to Barcelona, and then I moved to the US and we were traveling around there, or back to Barcelona once a year to spend time with my family. So as you can imagine this trip was extra special is so many ways, not having been for so many years, not seeing my extended family since my wedding and some of them way longer (keep in mind both my parents have no joke over 50 cousins, and they all have kids, so picture the scenario), this was also Jeff’s first time and Shirel’s too of course, we had two family weddings to attend plus all the dinner parties that come with the celebrations, we went with all the family (my parents, my brothers and their familias), three cities to see, we stayed in Tel Aviv and visited Ashdod (where I am from) and Jerusalem.Tel AvivTel AvivIMG_8978Tel Aviv

All I can say is WHAT A TRIP! There are no words to describe the amazing feeling of going back to your roots and showing your spouse where you come from, and the deeper connection that is created between the two of us cannot be described. Israel is such a vibrant country, the energy around it is so amazing, and especially in Tel Aviv there is a contagious energy, art, culture, beauty, roughness, softness, poetry in every street and every corner, here is a little bit of our trip told through my iPhone photography! I will be posting more from this trip and giving you tips on what to see and where to go. I hope you enjoy it and to those who follow me on Instagram, you probably recognize these photos and those who followed me on SNAPCHAT @GoodGoodGorgeous got to see the whole trip, so please keep following me or start following because there are more destinations coming up for now Im in Barcelona waiting for Bridal Week which starts next week! Tel AvivShenkin Tel Aviv FullSizeRender_1My loveMy lovesTel Aviv Beach
