Eixample is the neighbourhood that personally to me screams out Barcelona in the most charming way, and of course it is where Paseo de Gracia is, and a few of Gaudi’s most marvellous pieces of art. It is a mixture of old and new Barcelona, transportan you to it’s origins with Markets, neighbourhood bars, stores, and needless to say it’s amazing architecture. Yet on the other hand you can find modern boutiques with up and coming designers, new restaurants with the most intricate interior designs, and spaces such as my new favourite chill out spot Wer-Haus. A space with a men’s shop, a coffee shop, and a little art gallery, all designed to minimalist perfection. I know I keep finding new places where I say that their coffee is amazing, but honestly the coffee here is fantastic, and I happen to have friends who are as passionate about coffee as much as I am so that helps when they tell me where to go! For this occasion as you can see I decided to dress up (with Louboutin’s for a business meeting, and then I dressed it down with white kickz for Wer-Haus chill out) in a little Spring look by Katarina Grey my favorite Barcelona designer, she is so talented and sweet which makes for the perfect combination. She is from Barcelona, but studied at Parsons, and I got to attend her first NYFW show a few years ago, and all I can say is I was in awe back then and I am even more in awe right now! When you enter her world you will never want to leave, it is filled with dramas, beauty and power, and that is all I feel when I wear her magical piece, please check her out and stay tuned as I will be sharing more of her collection, especially for wedding style because wedding season is just around the corner!
Outfit details: Romwe white faux fur coat, Saint Laurent bag, Katarina Grey top and trousers, Louboutin Pigalle pumps.White was always a color that I would stick to during summers, or Jewish high holidays (like Yom Kippur or Rosh Ha Shana), but that concept has long gone, white is a color I love wearing all year long! What I love about this Romwe faux fur coat (besides the price) is that it fits to perfection, it’s not too heavy or too thick, but still keeps me warm. I have tried on many fax fur coats where they are so bulky I literally feel like a mama bear, and I love that this one is perfectly light but warm and cozy. Here you see how I wear it out for with Louboutin pumps, but I easily wear it with a more casual look with boyfriend jeans and trainers. Hope this inspires your next look, for now Besos from Barcelona and I wish you all a great week!
Who isn’t a fan of chic looks that don’t break the bank? I know I am! Don’t get me wrong every once in a while I do love to indulge in an expensive bag or shoe, one that has been carefully designed and produced. But my closet is still full of (mostly) Zara pieces, Topshop or H&M, which I am sure most of you can relate in one way or another. SheIn was a shop I had heard of, seen countless of Pins on Pinterest, and seen many bloggers wearing, but I never really made the jump to buy anything from them, because let’s be honest we are all animals of habit. So when they reached out to me for a collaboration, I said “SI por favor”, and good thing I did so. As you can see in my previous post, I am wearing their trench coat, and it is Perfection, so is this fringe sweatshirt I am wearing right here. Quality/price speaking, it is a match made in heaven!
Like always when I await garments from brands or online shops I have never shopped from, I am always worried about the fit or the cut, will it look cheap, do I need a Small or a Medium? I was so pleasantly surprised, and instantly in love with their pieces, this sweatshirt instantly brings chic and fun to a casual everyday look, I have worn it way too many times (I am a mom don’t judge, some days there is no time to plan outfits, just work with what you got:) and it looks brand new after washing it it is still as black as the first time I got it.
I hope you enjoy this look, and I totally recommend some shopping time on SheIn.com, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up there are some cute pieces you shouldn’t miss out on! Stay tuned this week for my next Discover Barcelona post…
